President William Ruto has waded into the Raphael Tuju Fiasco alleging that Tuju is being misled by members of the united Opposition.
Speaking in Sori during the second day of his Migori Tour, Ruto has said Tuju should cease his dalliance with the opposition and instead get proper counsel on how he can get his property back.
“Tuju needs honest friends. The opposition told him to go and hide in his bedroom and lie that he had been abducted. They are seeking political points from Tuju’s predicament,” said Ruto during a roadside rally.
“We want Tuju to be advised so that he can secure his property and move forward. He does not need those people.” The head of state added.
Tuju is being represented by amongst others UNITED Opposition co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking outside the Kibera Law Courts, Kalonzo revealed that Tuju had gone through a life threatening health scare after his blood sugar level fell.
“The doctor said the sugar level was at 1.9. This is what made me lose my cool At some point the doctor said in five minutes we could lose him because of the very low sugar level.” Kalonzo said.
Tuju is set to remain in custody till tomorrow when the Kibra law court will determine whether it has jurisdiction to hear the case against him or not.
The former minister has reportedly been rushed to hospital this afternoon after his health situation deteriorated.
