Allies of President William Ruto have responded to DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua accusing him of failing when he served as the Deputy president.

Led by Kikuyu’s Kimani Ichungwa, the MPs have accused Gachagua of corruption and tribalism. “He demanded Ksh. 3 for every kilo of coffee sold at the Kenya Coffee Exchange.” Ichungwa said in response to Gachagua’s claims that Ruto’s regime has failed to implement promises made to coffee farmers.

Suna East MP has dismissed Gachagua’s question over the death of Former ODM Party Raila Odinga saying, the DCP Boss was at the forefront of oppressing opposition members when Raila was alive.

“Rigathi lacks empathy and remorse. He is dancing on the grave of a patriarch and trying to make questions out of the death of a statesman,” Junet said.

“After today, he has not even gone to the family of Raila to tell them sorry. That’s the same guy who wants to use Raila in his statements here and there,” Junet added.

Gachagua during his assessment of Ruto’s 4 years in power had questioned the circumstances surrounding the death of Raila, Odinga, Johana Ngeno and Gen. Francis Ogolla.

On Odinga’s death Gachagua had cast aspersions on Raila’s burial wishes saying the former Prime Minister respected Luo traditions and customs couldn’t have requested to be buried within 72 hours.
