Pastor Dorcas Rigathi; the wife of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed hope despite the High Court judgment delivered yesterday that upheld the impeachment of Gachagua.
In a social media post Pst. Dorcas has thanked Kenyans for standing with Gachagua and the family in prayers through the court process.
“We thank every one of you who has stood with us in prayer. Nothing is lost. We bless God for this judgment.” Pst. Dorcas said.
The former second lady has asserted that “God is in control”.
Pst Dorcas has further quoted the book of Romans 8: 28 saying:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
She has further cited the Book of Jeremiah 29:11 that says “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
The three judge bench dismissed several arguments fronted by Gachagua including improper public participation and bias on the part of speakers of both houses of parliament.
The judges however said the DCP Party leader was denied his right to fair trial and awarded him compensation of Ksh. 50 Million for the same.
