Members of the Cabinet have today observed health measures following the first case of Ebola Virus that was announced early this week.

Images shared online shows Cabinet Secretaries sanitizing prior to the cabinet meeting held at State House Nairobi.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), sanitizing and disinfecting destroy the Ebola virus on hands, surfaces, and equipment to stop it from spreading through contact with infected body fluids

The first case of the Bundibugyo strain of the Ebola virus was that of a Kenyan citizen who has been working in the DRC for the last seven years.

He flew back into the country via Kampala Uganda and was admitted to Nairobi Hospital where he subsequently passed away.

So far, contact tracing is still ongoing for persons who interacted with the patient and his family members.
