Israel Ambassador to Kenya Gideon Behar has said that current events in the modern state of Israel reflect the fulfillment of ancient biblical prophecies concerning the return of the Jewish people to the Holy Land.
Speaking during an interview on Truth Fm’s breakfast show, Dawn Break hosted by Terry Njuguna and Douglas Omariba on Friday, 13th March 2026, Ambassador Behar cited passages from the Book of Jeremiah and other prophets, noting what he described as a strong connection between biblical Israel and present-day developments in the region.
According to the Ambassador, scriptures foretold that a time would come when Jews scattered across the world would be gathered and brought back to Zion, which he identified as the Holy Land.
“These prophecies were made thousands of years ago and today we are seeing them being realized,” he said, describing the developments as evidence of what he believes to be the fulfillment of God’s word.
The Israel Ambassador also pointed to the growing number of religious pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem and other sacred sites in the region as another sign that biblical predictions are unfolding.
He noted that when the prophecies were first recorded between 2,500 and 3,000 years ago, the region then known as Judea was a small territory with relatively few believers in monotheism, making the idea that people from across the world would one day visit the Holy Land seem unlikely.
However, he argued that the modern rise in pilgrimage demonstrates how biblical teachings about God’s word spreading from Zion to the rest of the world are now being witnessed in real time.
Dawn Break, the breakfast voice of the city, is Truth Fm’s breakfast show that airs every Monday to Friday from 5am to 9am hosted by Terry Njuguna.
